Standard equipment on this unit includes Start/Stop technology developed by Opel, electric power steering, aerodynamic under body panelling and 225/50 R 17 low-rolling-resistance tyres. In this configuration, the new 1.4-litre unit consumes just 5.7 litres per 100 kilometers - two litres less than the predecessor, equalling a consumption reduction of over 25 percent. CO2 emissions are correspondingly diminished by 45 to 134 g/km.
The Insignia 1.4 turbo ecoFLEX reaches 100 km/h in just 10.9 seconds and a top speed of 205 km/h. The Sports Tourer version leads the mid-size station wagon segment with 5.9 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 139 g/km.
